about

After the band decided to get back together in early 2001, they essentially threw away their old songs from the first demo and wrote a new one. This recording was a departure in sound from the first demo tape as music tastes evolved and members got better at playing their instruments.

The band went from attempting to sound like an early Ten Yard Fight rip-off to playing a type of hardcore that came more natural - still positive, but more pissed. During this era of the band, they started playing out of town more and began to receive the attention of others in the hardcore scene, which eventually lead to the deal with Martyr Records.

Side Note: The band had extra time in the studio so they recorded "Big Mouth" by Gorilla Biscuits. Some of the demo CDs have this track included, while others did not.

Instrumentally, the take you hear on the GB song is live, which was impressive, considering where the band was in their progression as musicians. SSB's "roadies" Taylor Smith and Dave Maslin are the voices that can be heard attempting the "Yo sucka...." intro.
